    Data Security Engineer – Cyber Services

    FPG Cyber is currently recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client, an award-winning CPA Cyber Consultancy, for an Experienced Security Data Engineer, this opportunity is open for remote working or from one of our client’s offices, in the Southern USA. Our client goes beyond traditional Cyber Security Consulting, to collaborate, guide & advise with their clients. They are well known for rapid transformative change & for turning uncertainties into opportunities for growth and profitability.

    The Ideal applicant will be required to develop, support & optimize our clients Secure Data Integrations, their API’s & their ETL processes. The Security Engineer will know how to examine system requirements & implementation processes. They will also have proven experience in Cyber Security, Cloud Data Management, have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    Position Overview:

    • Design and implement effective solutions & processes to store and retrieve secure data
    • Ensure data quality
    • Ensure operational security and segregation of sensitive data
    • Designing testing codes, implementing & supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget
    • Examine & identify integration patterns by evaluating client operations, applications & programming
    • Troubleshoot applications & provide corrective measures
    • Install & organize information systems to guarantee company functionality
    • Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solution
    • Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting


    • BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant field
    • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
    • Strong knowledge of data integration and ETL tools – preferably Informatica IICS
    • Strong knowledge of relational databases – preferably SQL Server
    • Strong knowledge of data security practices
    • Knowledge of managing data in Data Lake environments
    • Knowledge of Spark/Scala, Python or R preferred
    • Experience with cloud computing environments (strong preference for Microsoft Azure)


    • Professional designations or certification related to cyber-security, IT Audit information systems
    • Leadership & interpersonal skills, with teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
    • Ability to work in a highly integrated and dynamic team environment
    • Desire to work on diverse projects with multiple language, cultural, and technical differences
    • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and to travel to client locations
    • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
