My recruitment career began with First Point Group in 2012 when I joined the team as a Sales Support professional in the Mexico office. After two years of building up great relationships with our candidates and clients, my manager saw the potential for me to become a recruiter.
Before I knew it, I was speaking the telecoms engineering language
Nervously, I was thrown in at the deep end but telecoms recruiting was very different from how I first thought. I had great support from my team, collaborating with them to learn how to deliver exceptional services to candidates, negotiate their salaries and match their technical telecoms skills correctly. Now I like to speak to engineers about LTE, telecoms networks and understanding technical skills.
My role involves headhunting & sourcing, negotiating salaries, interview pre-screening and consulting all for my network of telecoms candidates. I can get them roles within the best global telecoms companies on large scale projects which gives them regional exposure. I represent my candidates and ensure the best possible outcome for both them and my clients.
I also help take care of work permits, visas, safety, insurance, and can advise on working requirements.
I love learning from 5G SMEs about telecoms technology
I love speaking to different people and I love hearing their stories about the ever-changing telecoms industry. Working in an international environment is exciting and I get to talk in different languages with people who come from different cultures too. It’s fascinating working in an industry that represents one thing we should all have as a human right: connectivity.
Outside of recruiting, I love spending time with my family. Family is something I can relate to with my candidates, especially understanding what it takes to support a family when considering a new job). I also enjoy socialising with my friends, keeping fit and healthy with regular exercise as well as cooking delicious Mexican and Argentinian food.
