FPG have multiple opportunities for NEBOSH accredited Health and Safety Coordinators / Advisors with CDM (Construction Design Management) or / CPP (Construction Phase Plan) experience. The successful candidate must have current / recent UK CDM Construction experience.

This is an exciting opportunity that offers hybrid-working (up to 4 days a week at home) and to get some experience within the telecommunications industry where you will be part of a wider projec to support the rollout of our country's 5G networks. This opportunity would suit an EHS Coordinator / H&S Coordinator that is immediately available for their next opportunity to start in the next 4-6 weeks (a notice period can also be accommodated for).

This role will be home-based (occassional visits to the office would be a bonus but not mandatory).

Job description:
• Provide guidance and assistance to establish a secure working environment for all pertinent employees and suppliers; supporting, advising, and covering the UK EHS Team; and offering first-line EHS support to the Projects & Managers.
• Perform supplier Office/Management/18001/45001 (CDM compliance audits) in accordance with the supplier list that the sourcing department provides.
• Project support; evaluation of CPHSP quality assessments and ASP (Approved Service Provider) performance audits; EHS inductions for all new ASP
• EHS input for the PICW training syllabus;
• Experience of CPP (Construction Phase Plan)
• Onboarding of New ASPs, including EHS Audits and Inductions
• Convene a meeting with the ASP Health & Safety Teams to assess the project contractor.
• EHS Assistance with the NMSD Health and Safety Committees
• Analyze all of our client's UK policies and procedures to ensure they comply with the law.
• Provide technical EHS support for investigations into accidents and incidents.
• Analyzing and offering guidance on EHS risks and creating a solid EHS corporate culture.
• Make sure procedures are in place to monitor EHS performance;
• Encourage a positive culture around EHS, spread awareness, and assist Project Managers and MSIP with customer inquiries and escalations.
• Ensuring contractual and legal compliance is maintained.

Responsibilities:
• Internal & External Customer liaison and customer EHS meetings, information gathering, scheduling of random audits / inspections of suppliers / services, EHS, performance and produce written reports detailing findings, trend analysis and recommendations.
• Reviewing and addressing issues raised by the customer
• Review and update legacy EHS documentation
• EHS inductions
• Carry out desktop reviews of end-to-end EHS process and documentation.
• Auditing of EHS management systems and produce findings and action plans
• Regular reporting to Management Team on EHS performance issues and achievements including any agreed EHS Improvement Plans
• Establish and maintain good Operational Customer / Contractor / Internal relationships and communications
• Encourage all internal and external personnel to report incidents including hazards
• Contribute to EHS promotional campaigns
• Assist with departmental task specific Risk Assessments

Experience (preferred, NOT mandatory):
• EHS professional with experience of managing suppliers on Mobile Telecoms sites and holding recognised industry standard EHS certificates/qualifications (preferable, not mandatory)
• Knowledge of Construction Design and Management (CDM 2015)
• Good Communication Skills able to coach and mentor where required and have the following training
• EHS qualifications such as NEBOSH certificate and any Environmental training
