First Point Group is recruiting for a Back End Software Engineer with strong Golang experience. Our client specializes in providing messaging operations and service management solutions for some of Europe's leading telecommunication operators.
This role is fully remote, with occasional travel to London (once a month).
The successful candidate must have strong experience in Go (Golang), Linux, Kubernetes. Any previous experience working in telecoms / VOIP / Unified Comms would be welcome.

Scope of work:
- You will be creating the framework for innovative software solutions in the field of mobile telecommunications.
- Improving cutting-edge services/solutions that is being created for leading telecom operators.
- Implement solutions and take the lead on optimizing back-end architecture.
- Steamlining API's and boosting security and efficiency
Experience:
- Proficient in Go (Golang) coding in a Linux environment
- Strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven apps, distributed systems architecture, API development, messaging queues, and gRPC with Protobuf
- Proficient with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and experienced in creating services for containerized environments, especially with Docker
- Adherence to best coding practices and a team-oriented mindset
- Prepared to deeply engage and take on significant responsibility
- Tech: Kubernetes, AWS, Uber FX Golang framework, Rust, TCP-based messaging protocols (e.g., SMPP), and integrating data science/ML outputs (nice to have)
