Traveling Superintendent - Data Center Construction

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join a leading general contractor delivering large-scale data center projects across the United States. This role will be responsible for overseeing field operations, driving project schedules, managing subcontractor performance, and ensuring the successful delivery of mission critical facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with experience managing complex, fast-paced data center projects and the flexibility to travel and work in project locations throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion.


• Manage daily field operations, subcontractors, and site logistics.


• Drive project schedules and maintain milestone commitments.


• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, MEP teams, clients, and trade partners.


• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all site safety requirements.


• Conduct subcontractor coordination meetings and field planning sessions.


• Monitor quality standards and ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications.


• Identify and proactively resolve construction challenges and schedule impacts.


• Manage inspections, punch lists, and turnover activities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Superintendent on large-scale data center, mission critical, industrial, advanced manufacturing, or highly technical construction projects.


• Strong understanding of structural, architectural, civil, and MEP scopes.


• Proven ability to lead large subcontractor workforces and coordinate multiple trades.


• Experience delivering projects in the $200M+ range preferred.


• Strong scheduling, planning, and communication skills.


• Willingness to travel or work on rotating project assignments as required.

Preferred Experience

• Ground-up/Greenfield data center, semi-conductor or EV facillities construction experience.


• Experience with commissioning and turnover processes.


• Familiarity with critical power infrastructure, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and cooling systems.


• OSHA 30 certification.
