We are a leading global developer and operator of next-generation, carrier-neutral data centres. We power the digital economy by providing critical, scalable, and sustainable infrastructure. Our strategic project in Thailand involves building a state-of-the-art, high-availability facility that will serve as a key digital hub for the region.

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned **Data Centre Construction Project Manager** to lead the end-to-end delivery of a greenfield hyperscale or large colocation data centre project in Thailand. You will be the single point of accountability for translating design intent into a fully operational, Tier III+ certified facility. This role demands deep expertise in mission-critical construction, complex MEP systems, stringent vendor management, and navigating the specific regulatory and supply chain landscape of Thailand.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Leadership & Execution:

  • Own the project lifecycle from final design and procurement through construction, commissioning, and handover to Operations.
  • Develop, manage, and update the master project schedule (using Primavera P6 or MS Project), budget, and risk register.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the project's critical path, identifying and mitigating delays proactively.
  •  Manage all contractual agreements with GCs, subcontractors, and equipment vendors.

2. Technical & Quality Assurance:

Ensure construction complies with all design specifications, global standards, and client-specific requirements (if built-to-suit).

Provide expert oversight of critical systems: electrical (HV/MV/LV, UPS, generators, distribution), mechanical (chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH, cooling towers), fire protection, BMS, and physical security.

Lead the QA/QC program, implementing rigorous inspection and test plans (ITPs) for all key disciplines.

Manage the commissioning (Cx) and integrated systems testing (IST) process to validate performance and redundancy.

3. Stakeholder & Vendor Management:

  • Serve as the primary on-site interface for the General Contractor (GC), MEP subcontractors, equipment suppliers, and commissioning agents.
  • Liaise effectively with internal stakeholders: Design Team, Commercial, Procurement, and Future Operations Team.
  • Manage relationships with local authorities and utilities to ensure smooth permitting and power/water delivery.

4. Safety, Compliance & Sustainability:

  • Champion a "Zero Harm" safety culture on site. Enforce strict safety protocols for high-risk work.
  • Ensure full compliance with Thai construction laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Drive sustainability goals, ensuring the project meets targets for Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE), and aligns with green building certifications.

5. Commercial & Reporting:

  • Control project costs, approve progress payments, and manage change order/variation processes.
  • Provide precise, regular reporting on progress, budget, risks, and safety metrics to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years** of progressive construction project management experience.
  • Proven track record** of managing the full construction cycle of **at least 2 large-scale data centre projects** (values >$50M USD) from ground-breaking to commissioning.
  •  Deep technical knowledge of data centre critical infrastructure (MEP systems, structural loading, fiber entry paths).
  • In-depth experience with construction practices, contracts (FIDIC preferred), and the vendor/contractor landscape **in Thailand**.
  •  Fluency in English and Thai (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Strong proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office.

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience working for a global data centre developer/operator.
  • Knowledge of Tier Standards (Uptime Institute) and relevant certifications.
  • Familiarity with the Thai Board of Investment (BOI) privileges and Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) regulations.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or PMP certification.

Personal Competencies

  • Leadership & Decisiveness: Able to lead and motivate large, multi-cultural site teams under high pressure.
  • Problem-Solver: Anticipates and resolves complex technical and logistical issues before they impact critical path.
  • Resilient & Adaptable: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment common in fast-track data centre projects.
  • Exceptional Communicator: Clear, direct, and effective in all forms of communication.
  • Meticulous & Detail-Oriented: Uncompromising on quality, safety, and procedural compliance.
