Strategic Sourcing Manager – Manufacturing | Post Falls, ID or Remote US 



About the Role

A leading global manufacturer with a long history of delivering highly reliable technology solutions is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join its Post Falls, ID operation. In this key role, you will drive long-term supplier strategy, strengthen supply chain performance, and support company-wide cost optimization initiatives.





Primary Responsibilities




  • Lead the full supplier lifecycle, including identification, qualification, and onboarding.

  • Negotiate and structure supply agreements, ensuring clear documentation and alignment with business goals.

  • Analyze commodity trends, evaluate spend data, and implement strategic cost-reduction initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to assess alternative materials, suppliers, and manufacturing processes.

  • Identify opportunities to improve product utilization while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.

  • Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and proactively manage supplier risk.

  • Ensure suppliers meet all regulatory, quality, environmental, and ESG requirements.

  • Conduct supplier visits and routine audits to ensure alignment with contractual terms and continuous improvement expectations.





Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.

  • 5+ years of supply chain or sourcing experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.

  • Ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to engage suppliers.

$100k - $140k base salary + bonus DOE
