Senior MEP Engineer – Data Center & Smart Infrastructure Projects

Our client — a regional leader in data center and smart facility design — is seeking a Senior MEP Engineer to drive the design, construction supervision, and delivery of mechanical and electrical systems powering mission-critical environments.

As a key member of the DCES Design & Delivery team, you will:

• Lead the design, coordination, and implementation of MEP systems across large-scale data centers and smart infrastructure projects.


• Calculate cooling loads and determine specifications for chillers, pumps, AHUs, CRAH/CRAC units, and ventilation systems.


• Advise on HVAC strategies, fire detection and suppression systems, and energy-efficient mechanical solutions aligned with Tier standards and TIA 942 guidelines.


• Conduct site inspections, generate punch lists, and provide technical recommendations to ensure all systems are installed, tested, and commissioned per design intent.


• Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and installation teams to address design inquiries and support on-site construction progress.


• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and oversee installation and testing to ensure quality and compliance with international standards.


• Ensure all work adheres to ISO27001, ISO27017, and ISO27018 standards and company quality frameworks.

What We're Looking For:

• Candidates must be currently residing in-country with a transferrable Iqama.


• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.


• 10–15 years of experience in mechanical design, supervision, or construction management — preferably in data centers, telecom facilities, or high-availability environments.


• Proven experience across the full project lifecycle — from concept design to commissioning and handover.


• Strong understanding of Uptime Institute Tier classifications and TIA-942 standards.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Visio, and MS Office applications.


• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with a customer-focused mindset.


• Ability to lead cross-functional coordination and deliver under tight deadlines.


• Professional certifications such as Data Center Design (DCD) or LEED AP are highly desirable.
