Senior Field Service Engineer — Mechanical Genset Commissioning

My Client is a specialist engineering organization delivering mission-critical power and infrastructure solutions for data centers and large-scale industrial facilities across Asia. their expertise covers backup power systems, electrical distribution, and high-availability infrastructure design and commissioning. they are expanding their Singaporean team to support growing regional projects in critical environments.

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Mechanical Field Service & Commissioning Engineer responsible for mission-critical genset systems in data centers and high-availability environments.

You will lead commissioning and maintenance of backup power systems that support Tier III / IV data centers and hyperscale infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Commission and test diesel generator systems (N+1 / 2N configurations)
• Perform FAT / SAT / IST testing in data center environments
• Conduct load bank testing, load rejection, and transient response tests
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems: engine, fuel, cooling, exhaust, vibration
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, OEMs, and DC operators
• Provide emergency field support (on-call rotation)

Required Experience

• Experience with genset OEMs: Cummins / CAT / MTU / Perkins / Volvo Penta / Kohler
• Strong mechanical background (diesel engines, power systems)
• Data center commissioning experience is highly preferred
• Experience in critical environments (government / hyperscale DC preferred)

Additional Requirement

• Security clearance eligibility required for sensitive sites

Language Requirement

• English + Mandarin Chinese (MANDATORY)
