About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced SDH Engineer or Technician to support a legacy SDH network migration and ongoing operations and maintenance activities. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth transition from NEC systems to NOKIA/ALCATEL platforms, maintaining high service availability and technical performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for migration activities from NEC to NOKIA/ALCATEL SDH equipment.


• Perform operation and maintenance (O&M) of existing SDH networks.


• Conduct fault analysis, troubleshooting, and restoration to ensure network stability.


• Support integration, testing, and validation during migration phases.


• Collaborate closely with network operations and field engineering teams.


• Participate in an on-call support rotation as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience working with SDH technologies, ideally on NEC and NOKIA/ALCATEL equipment.


• Strong understanding of SDH network architecture, transmission principles, and related protocols.


• Experience in network migration projects and service continuity assurance.


• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex transmission issues efficiently.


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


• Fluent Portuguese (native level); good technical English is required.
