Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Ariba Consultant to join an active S/4HANA programme. The successful candidate will bring proven hands-on experience across the Ariba platform — covering sourcing, order collaboration, and supplier lifecycle management — with the ability to configure, implement, and integrate Ariba solutions within an S/4HANA procurement landscape. This role sits within the procurement workstream and requires strong integration capability between Ariba and S/4HANA, with the ability to engage directly with procurement, supply chain, and finance stakeholders to deliver a seamless procure-to-pay solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement SAP Ariba solutions covering sourcing, procurement, and supplier management processes


• Configure and manage Ariba Sourcing — RFx processes, sourcing events, award management, and contract creation


• Set up and maintain Ariba Network order collaboration — purchase order transmission, order confirmation, advance ship notices, and invoice submission between buyers and suppliers


• Configure Supplier Lifecycle and Performance Management (SLPM) — supplier registration, qualification, segmentation, and performance evaluation processes


• Design and implement Ariba-to-S/4HANA integration — procurement data flows, purchase order synchronisation, invoice posting, and master data alignment between platforms


• Conduct fit-gap analysis, prepare functional specifications, and translate business procurement requirements into Ariba configuration


• Manage Ariba Network connectivity — supplier onboarding, transaction enablement, and network configuration


• Support UAT, defect resolution, cutover planning, and knowledge transfer to procurement teams


• Produce and maintain configuration documentation, functional design documents, and end-user training materials

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven track record as an SAP Ariba consultant with hands-on platform configuration and implementation experience


• Deep expertise in Ariba Sourcing — event configuration, bid management, supplier collaboration, and contract integration


• Strong Ariba Network order collaboration experience — buyer and supplier side configuration, transaction flow setup, and exception handling


• Hands-on Supplier Lifecycle and Performance Management (SLPM) experience — registration workflows, qualification processes, and performance scorecards


• Demonstrable Ariba-to-S/4HANA integration experience — understanding of integration scenarios, middleware configuration, and data flow between platforms


• Familiarity with SAP Business Network and the broader Ariba platform architecture


• Ability to engage with procurement managers, supply chain leads, and finance teams simultaneously

Advantageous

• Experience in industries with complex supplier ecosystems — mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, or public sector


• Exposure to SAP Ariba Contracts and contract compliance monitoring


• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement (MM) and how it interfaces with Ariba
