Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth:
- Develop and execute product sales strategies aligned to business objectives
- Drive revenue growth through new markets, key accounts, and strategic partnerships
- Lead large-scale tenders, contracts, and business development initiatives
- Monitor competitor activity and adjust pricing and positioning accordingly
Product Ownership & Commercial Accountability:
- Take full ownership of a defined product portfolio (OEM and in-house)
- Manage pricing structures, margins, and discount strategies
- Ensure disciplined, profitable selling across the sales team
- Decide product focus areas, positioning, and lifecycle (introduce, grow, phase out)
Client & Key Account Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Engage with senior decision-makers and negotiate high-value deals
- Ensure exceptional customer experience and long-term partnerships
Sales Pipeline & Performance Management:
- Oversee pipeline health, forecasting, and conversion rates
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews and performance discussions
- Report on monthly and quarterly sales performance
Supplier & OEM Management:
- Manage supplier relationships, pricing negotiations, and agreements
- Align supplier strategy with market needs and sales objectives
- Handle escalations, warranties, and product quality
Stock, Pricing & Operational Control:
- Oversee stock forecasting and inventory decisions
- Balance stock availability with commercial risk
- Ensure accurate, competitive, and profitable costing
Sales Enablement & Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team
- Implement training, tools, and structured sales processes
- Build a disciplined, results-driven sales culture
Market Positioning & Product Marketing:
- Define product tiers, pricing corridors, and competitive positioning
- Translate technical features into clear customer value propositions
- Collaborate with marketing to develop effective sales collateral
Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- 8–12 years' experience in sales, with 3–5+ years in a leadership or product ownership role
- Proven experience managing a product portfolio end-to-end
- Strong commercial experience with pricing, margins, and revenue accountability
- Experience in stock planning, pricing, and supplier/OEM management
- Background in one or more of the following:
- Critical power (UPS, batteries, generators, BESS)
- Data centre infrastructure (power/cooling)
- Electrical or energy systems
- OEM, distributor, or value-added reseller environments
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Excel
