First Point Group is recruiting for a Rigger (Support Person) with proven experience in the maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of telecom equipment on towers, rooftops, and other elevated sites. The successful candidate will have hands-on expertise in installing antennas, feeders, MHAs, cabling, and steelwork, as well as reporting field activities and managing equipment inventory. Mandatory certifications including Advanced Climber, RF Awareness, Working at Height, and Emergency First Aid at Height are essential, along with a strong commitment to health and safety protocols.
Our client is a national telecom infrastructure services provider supporting mobile network deployments across the UK. Candidates without telecom rigging experience or the required working-at-height certifications will not be considered.
Your responsibilities – 70% field installation & support | 20% equipment reporting & inventory | 10% troubleshooting & repairs.

Role Overview
A well-established engineering services provider is seeking a Rigging support person to oversee and carry out rigging operations across the UK. This role involves the installation of feeders, antennas, mast head amplifiers (MHAs), and associated telecom equipment in line with project documentation and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of deployed telecommunications equipment
Keeping up-to-date technical knowledge of all installed systems and hardware
Providing detailed field reports and updates on all work performed
Managing stock levels by maintaining and reporting inventory of materials and tools
Supporting the wider team by taking ownership of additional tasks and identifying ways to improve service delivery
Ensuring proper handling, use, and reporting of all entrusted tools, instruments, vehicles, and other resources
Performing installation work on towers, rooftops, and difficult-to-access locations in full compliance with height safety measures and PPE standards
Requirements
Proven background in telecom rigging
Valid UK driving licence
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety
Hands-on experience working at height in accordance with telecom rigging practices
Skilled in the installation of antennas, feeders, MHAs, cabling, steelwork, and terminations
Electrical and commissioning experience beneficial
Willingness to travel and stay overnight when needed
