RF Optimization Engineer 5G/LTE HW

We are seeking a highly skilled RF Optimization Engineer with deep expertise in Huawei technologies, specializing in LTE and 5G (NR) networks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing radio network performance, improving KPIs, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across mobile networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Optimization & Performance:  
  
  
  
  
  • Perform radio network optimization for LTE and 5G systems to improve KPIs such as throughput, latency, accessibility, retainability, and mobility.
  
  
  • Analyze network performance using Huawei tools (e.g., M2000, U2020, GENEX tools: Probe, Assistant, Nastar).
  
  
  • Conduct end-to-end optimization including RAN parameter tuning, coverage, capacity, and quality enhancements.
  
  
  
  

•  Monitor and improve KPIs such as: CSSR, Drop call rate (DCR), Handover success rate (HOSR), DL/UL throughput, 5G NR accessibility and retainability


• Drive Test & Analysis:  Plan, execute, and analyze drive tests using tools like TEMS, Nemo, or GENEX Probe.


• Optimize Huawei RAN systems (NodeB, eNodeB, gNodeB).


• Work with Huawei-specific features and parameters (e.g., load balancing, ICIC/eICIC, CA, MIMO, DSS, NSA/SA configurations).


• Perform script execution and parameter audits in Huawei OSS.


• Optimize 5G NR (NSA & SA) networks including: Beam management, Massive MIMO tuning, Carrier aggregation (CA), EN-DC optimization


• Improve LTE features such as:VoLTE performance, Inter-RAT mobility (2G/3G/4G/5G)


• Fault Analysis & Troubleshooting


• Reporting & Documentation


• Provide optimization recommendations and track improvement actions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.


• 8+ years of experience in RF optimization.


• Strong hands-on experience with Huawei LTE & 5G networks.


• Strong knowledge of:  LTE (4G) and 5G NR technologies, RF fundamentals and propagation models, Network KPIs and performance optimization techniques


• Hands-on experience with: Huawei tools: GENEX Probe, Nastar, Assistant, U2020, Drive test tools: TEMS, Nemo


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Huawei certifications (e.g., HCIA/HCIP/HCIE in 5G or LTE)


• Knowledge of scripting (Python, SQL) for data analysis


• Exposure to automation and AI-based optimization tools
