Resident Engineer

We’re Hiring: Resident Engineer  - (Network Test & Assurance)

Join a leading technology team driving end-to-end network validation, monitoring, and analytics for fixed and mobile operators. As a Network Test & Assurance Engineer, you’ll own the deployment and integration of advanced field-test platforms and cloud-native assurance software, ensuring service quality and performance from the site to the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

CEM Platform Integration & Configuration

• Configure and integrate end-to-end customer-experience management software into operator OSS/BSS environments to capture QoE/QoS metrics across 3G/4G/5G and fixed networks.

Service Assurance & Analytics

• Design and deploy real-time analytics workflows that correlate network performance data with customer events—automating alerts, performing root-cause isolation, and generating actionable dashboards for NOC and field teams.

KPI Monitoring & Reporting

• Develop, tune, and maintain KPI dashboards (throughput, latency, packet loss, MOS, etc.), produce regular executive reports, and present trend analyses to drive network optimization and reduce churn.

Field Validation & Troubleshooting

• Lead on-site drive tests and lab validations using modular test platforms and optical/RF instruments to verify service-assurance configurations align with SLA targets; diagnose anomalies and collaborate with engineering to resolve root causes.

Customer Support & Training

• Act as L2/L3 escalation point for operator teams, resolving complex tickets; deliver both in-person and remote training sessions on tool usage, data interpretation, and proactive fault-management best practices.

Project Coordination & Rollout

• Plan and manage multi-site rollouts of test and monitoring probes; coordinate with project managers, field engineers, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth delivery, acceptance testing, and handover.

Automation & Optimization

• Develop scripts (e.g., Python, REST APIs) to automate data collection, report generation, and recurring test workflows—improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years’ hands-on experience with field-test platforms and cloud-native assurance solutions in telecom environments.
• Deep expertise in QoE/QoS monitoring, KPI frameworks, and RCA methodologies.
• Proven skills in drive-test and lab-based validation for both wireless (3G/4G/5G NR) and optical networks.
• Strong customer-facing abilities: ticket management, SLA negotiation, and technical training.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Scripting proficiency (Python, RESTful APIs) for automation and data analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with intelligent optical link mapping and lab-grade instrumentation.
• Familiarity with cloud-native monitoring integration into OSS/BSS.
• Knowledge of emerging assurance needs for 5G NR, IoT, and massive MIMO.
• Certifications in network testing, FTTx, or project management (e.g., PMP).
