Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to manage and control the end-to-end procurement process across projects and operations. The role focuses on supplier management, expediting, procurement compliance, reporting, cash flow optimisation, and risk management, ensuring that technical and project teams can focus on delivery while procurement activities are effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle from requisition to delivery.


• Expedite orders and monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery.


• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.


• Support cost control, commercial negotiations, and cash flow optimisation.


• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance standards, and audit requirements.


• Drive BBBEE procurement objectives and support local supplier development.


• Identify and mitigate procurement risks, including fraud prevention measures.


• Prepare procurement reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking.


• Support inventory control, material availability, and project close-out activities.


• Work closely with project, engineering, finance, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field.


• Minimum 5 years' procurement experience.


• Experience within project, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or technical procurement environments.


• Strong supplier management and expediting experience.


• Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.


• Excellent analytical, reporting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
