Principal Architect

Location: Doha, Qatar (Remote working with potential travel across GCC)

A fast-growing international engineering and design consultancy is looking for an experienced Principal Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex Data Centre and Mission Critical projects.

This role offers the opportunity to drive architectural excellence, lead multidisciplinary teams, and work on some of the world's most advanced digital infrastructure developments.

Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural design and delivery for Data Centre and Mission Critical projects.


• Manage projects from concept design through detailed design and construction.


• Coordinate with MEP, Structural, Civil, BIM, and specialist consultants.


• Lead design reviews, client workshops, and technical coordination meetings.


• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and client standards.


• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to design teams.


• Review technical submissions, materials, and design documentation.


• Support project planning, value engineering, and construction reviews.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.


• 8+ years of architectural design experience with leadership responsibility.


• Experience delivering Data Centres, Mission Critical Facilities, Industrial, or Complex Infrastructure projects.


• Strong knowledge of international building codes, fire/life safety standards, and design regulations.


• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination.


• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
