Our client, a fast-growing fintech innovator, is looking for a Go/PHP Software Engineer to join their hybrid-remote engineering team, MUST be based in Cape Town . You’ll have the chance to build high-performance, secure, and scalable financial systems that impact thousands of users every day.

Your Role

• Build, maintain, and optimize production-grade fintech applications.


• Collaborate with a distributed, agile team on architecture and development.


• Ensure systems are secure, scalable, and performant.


• Contribute to technical decisions and shape the technology roadmap.

What You Bring

• BSc in Computer Science or related degree.


• Proven experience in fintech or financial systems development.


• Proficiency in Go and/or PHP.


• Strong experience with LAMP/LEMP stacks.


• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.


• Comfortable working remotely and in an agile team environment.

Additional Skills (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience with Ubuntu-based systems, AWS, or DigitalOcean.


• Containerization experience (Docker) and CI/CD pipeline knowledge.


• Database and data pipeline design/optimization experience.


• Knowledge of security best practices in financial applications.
