Position: Permit & Compliance Manager (m/f/d)



Location: Hamburg, Germany (Hybrid), office based



Type: Permanent, Full Time



We are supporting a highly respected offshore wind operator as they expand their regulatory and compliance team. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of permit and compliance activities for a major operational offshore wind farm located within the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the North Sea.



Key Responsibilities




  • Regulatory Ownership: Lead on the management and maintenance of the operating licence for the offshore wind farm.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact for authorities and regulatory stakeholders, including BSH and BMUV.

  • Compliance Reporting: Prepare and deliver approval-related reports, including annual appraisals with regulators.

  • Verification & Audits: Oversee monitoring of compliance and coordinate associated verification and reporting duties.

  • Legal Process Management: Handle applications and amendments in line with WindSeeG, BSH requirements, and relevant environmental regulations (UVPG, BNatSchG).

  • Strategic Involvement: Contribute to long-term operational strategy, including considerations around asset lifetime extension.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and manage regulatory and operational risks.



Your Profile




  • Degree in renewable energy, environmental law, administrative law, engineering or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience in permitting within offshore wind or complex infrastructure projects.

  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment for offshore wind in the German EEZ.

  • Effective communicator with solid organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken.
