Packet Broker - Traffic Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer with deep expertise in network visibility and packet broker technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience across both physical and virtual environments, with a strong understanding of 4G/5G architectures.

Technical Expertise:

• Physical Packet Brokers: Architecture and configuration experience with Extreme and Keysight solutions.


• Virtual Packet Brokers: Deployment and configuration expertise with Gigamon solutions.


• Cloud Deployments: Hands-on experience with VCP WebScale and OpenStack in Core (NEC) and Edge (SAP) environments.


• Network Visibility Workflows: End-to-end visibility for 4G/5G interfaces.


• Traffic & KPI Validation: Proficiency with NG1 (NetScout) tools.


• Remote Probing: Architecture and configuration of remote probing solutions.


• Telecom Protocols: Strong understanding of 4G/5G call flows, including VoLTE, VoNR, and LTE.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and validating advanced network visibility solutions across a large-scale telecom infrastructure.

Core Duties:

• Lead the design, documentation, testing, configuration, deployment, migration, and post-migration troubleshooting of packet broker and probing solutions in pre-production environments.


• Configure and test remote probing across 52 SAP sites for 4G/5G services (VoLTE, VoNR, LTE).


• Manage the migration from Extreme to Keysight packet broker platforms.


• Deploy SLX rebalancing configurations to resolve packet limit issues across 22 sites.


• Roll out virtual packet broker deployments in WebScale 1.5, including expansion phases.


• Collaborate with HQ and vendors to test software enhancements, including health monitoring and advanced filtering capabilities.


• Deploy and validate packet broker configurations to ensure optimal performance and visibility.
