Role: Asia Data Centre Operations Head

Location: Johor, Malaysia

Position Overview:

Our client, a fast-growing data centre developer, are seeking an experienced Data Centre Asia Operations Head to be based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

This role will primarily focus on infrastructure operations, including expertise in electrical systems, HVAC, and weak current (low-voltage) systems.

The ideal candidate will have a background in data center operations, with prior experience in a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

  Oversee end-to-end infrastructure operations, including acceptance testing, maintenance, and long-term stable operation of systems.

  
  


• 
  

  Lead and manage a large-scale operations team (experience managing 30+ personnel required).

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure high standards of operational efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry best practices.

  
  


• 
  

  Serve as a key point of contact for major internet clients, demonstrating strong communication and client service skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in operational processes.

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field.

  
  


• 
  

  Proven experience in infrastructure operations, preferably within a data center.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong management skills with experience leading large, diverse teams.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience serving hyperscaler clients or having worked in a hyperscaler operations environment is highly desirable.

  
  


• 
  

  Prior experience in Malaysia is a strong advantage.
