Are you an operations professional who keeps the engine running, and makes it run better?



Someone who can spot a process gap in a governance pack, get a rollout back on track by midday, and still have a clean dashboard ready for the afternoon standup? We're looking for an Operations Specialist to join our client - one of South Africa's leading telecommunications operators, running complex network programmes at national scale.



 



The Role



You'll sit at the heart of operational execution. Supporting service delivery, driving process improvement, and keeping cross-functional programmes moving. This isn't a back-office reporting role. You'll be in the detail - coordinating rollouts, owning governance, and holding stakeholders accountable across the delivery chain.

What You'll Be Doing




  • Driving operational process improvements that reduce friction and deliver measurable results across service delivery functions

  • Supporting network programme rollouts from planning through to live service acceptance — acting as the operational glue between engineering, commercial, and customer teams

  • Owning and maintaining reporting dashboards and governance packs that give leadership a clear, accurate picture of programme health

  • Coordinating fault resolution and escalation management with NOC, field teams, and third-party vendors to protect SLA performance

  • Facilitating readiness reviews, Go/No-Go assessments, and operational handovers at key programme milestones

  • Tracking actions from governance forums and making sure nothing falls through the cracks



 



What We're Looking For




  • 5–10 years of operations experience in telecoms, with exposure to network programmes or service delivery environments

  • A track record of process improvement that actually landed — not just recommendations that gathered dust

  • Strong stakeholder management skills: you can influence upward, coordinate sideways, and get things done without direct authority

  • Sharp analytical instincts — comfortable turning messy data into clean insight

  • Proficiency with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and project tracking platforms

  • Familiarity with ITIL or equivalent service management frameworks is a plus
