As part of this expansion, they are looking to appoint an experienced Network Transmission Specialist to support the design, optimisation, and reliability of their transmission network.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to work at the heart of a high-performance network environment, supporting the infrastructure that powers large-scale connectivity. You will be involved in designing and maintaining transmission systems, troubleshooting performance issues, and supporting the rollout of new network capacity as the organisation continues to expand its footprint.
Working closely with engineering and network operations teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of the transmission backbone.
Key Responsibilities
Design, plan, and maintain high-capacity transmission infrastructure supporting the core network
Manage microwave, fibre, and DWDM transmission systems to ensure optimal network performance
Troubleshoot and resolve transmission-related performance issues and outages
Support the rollout of new transmission links and network expansion initiatives
Work closely with network engineering and operations teams to improve resilience and capacity planning
Contribute to network optimisation, performance monitoring, and continuous infrastructure improvement
Requirements
5–10 years of experience in transmission engineering within telecommunications or large-scale network environments
Strong expertise in microwave, fibre optic, and DWDM transmission technologies
Experience troubleshooting transmission performance and network stability issues
Solid understanding of backbone network architecture and capacity planning
Ability to work in dynamic environments supporting critical network infrastructure
