## Job Purpose



To lead the global design, development, and implementation of robust electrical solutions, including Extra Low Voltage (ELV), Low Voltage (LV), Medium Voltage (MV), High Voltage (HV), and Internet Communication Telecommunication (ICT) systems, Direct Current (DC) systems, Earthing, Lightning Protection, Lighting, Photovoltaics, and other renewable power systems.



This role serves as a key technical engine for the pre-sales process, translating complex client RFP requirements into high-efficiency data centre solutions while ensuring seamless integration of internal and supplier products from bid through to final delivery.



The lead role will be required to use depth of technical expertise to negotiate with End Users and Operators, and breadth of knowledge in other trades to ensure a holistic, complete, economical, and constructible solution is offered. Act as the gatekeeper to ensure project delivery meets design and performance intent; provide clear effective leadership during incidents; and translate them into lessons learnt for subsequent product development and subordinate development.

## Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities



**Pre-Sales & Solution Engineering (30%)**

Lead the electrical engineering input for client RFP responses. Collaborate with the Sales team to design, cost, and defend technical solutions that meet specific client requirements. Lead and coordinate other trades to ensure that the proposed solution is holistic and complete.



**Technical Design & Calculation (15%)**

Oversee high-level design for HV/MV/LV systems, power generation, and storage. Perform and review critical calculations including copper losses, arc flash, harmonics, and battery runtimes. Ensure that other disciplines' electrical requirements are captured, real, and reasonable.



**Stakeholder Consultation & Negotiation (15%)**

Negotiate with end-users, operators, and local governing bodies to develop viable engineering solutions for site selection and project delivery.



**Operational Support & Troubleshooting (10%)**

Provide technical oversight to the Delivery team. Diagnose and implement effective solutions for electrical site issues, ensuring resilience against manual errors or control failures.



**Standards & Quality Governance (10%)**

Develop and manage company-wide electrical standards and best practices. Ensure global compliance with international standards such as Uptime and TIA.



**Product & Procurement Support (10%)**

Partner with the Product and Procurement teams to perform technical evaluations and assist in strategic product selection.



**Team Development (10%)**

Manage and assist in the professional development of the Design & Engineering team, including engineers, technicians, drafters, and other team members.

## Qualifications & Requirements



**Education**

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.

- Master's degree is preferred.



**Experience**

- A minimum of 10 years in engineering, with at least 6 years specifically within the data centre sector.



**Certifications & Licenses**

- Chartered Engineer or Licensed Professional Engineer (e.g., CIBSE, PEB Singapore, HKIE) is required.

- Uptime Accredited Tier Designer or TIA Certified Designer is highly desired.



**Technical Skills**

- Expert proficiency in power system architecture, substation design, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and battery systems, onsite power generation, and Internet, communications, and telecommunications protocols.

- Skilled in control parameter tuning and sequence of operations.

- Expert understanding of constructability, testing, and commissioning processes.

- Expert understanding of operations and maintenance requirements.
