Business Development Consultant – Verizon Account (U.S. Telecom)
(Independent Contractor)
Location: United States (Remote / Field-based)
Compensation: $100k - $150k base salary / $200k - $250k OTE (uncapped)
Role Summary
The client is seeking an experienced Business Development Consultant dedicated to expanding and supporting business development activities with Verizon. This role is focused on growing engagement within the account, increasing account penetration, building executive-level relationships, and developing new commercial opportunities across Verizon's telecom and networking organization.
This is a consulting engagement, not a direct employment role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and expand business development initiatives specifically for the Verizon account
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships across Verizon's:
- Product teams
- Network organizations
- Sourcing and procurement teams
- Support commercial opportunities related to telecom and networking solutions, including:
- 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA)
- WiFi
- PON / broadband access technologies
- Identify, track, and communicate Verizon-related:
- RFIs / RFPs
- Tenders
- Strategic initiatives
- Provide Verizon-specific market intelligence, organizational insight, and account feedback to internal stakeholders
- Operate independently as a senior consultant supporting account growth and strategy
Candidate Profile
- Strong background in telecommunications or networking business development
- Direct experience working with Verizon, or deep familiarity with Verizon's organizational structure and buying processes
- Established relationships within the U.S. telecom operator ecosystem
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to navigate complex enterprise accounts
- Comfortable operating autonomously as a senior, customer-facing consultant
