Mindray is seeking a driven and commercially astute Key Account Sales Representative to spearhead IVD sales growth across South Africa. This role is central to establishing and deepening relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), hospital decision-makers, and procurement stakeholders within the medical diagnostics sector.

The successful candidate will combine strong market intelligence with a consultative selling approach to position Mindray's IVD portfolio at the forefront of the South African healthcare landscape. A background in the medical device or diagnostics industry, combined with an established network within key laboratory and hospital accounts, will be a significant advantage.


 


Key Responsibilities 


 


1. Conduct comprehensive market scanning across all segments of the medical market, including competitor analysis and mapping of key decision-making chains within the procurement process.

2. Establish and maintain strategic relationships with senior management, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and procurement decision-makers, with a focus on achieving sales breakthroughs in Key Accounts aligned to corporate and regional IVD strategy.

3. Coordinate and support exhibitions, forums, professional conferences, and other promotional activities to enhance Mindray's brand visibility and market reputation.

4. Plan and execute targeted marketing activities to maximise brand exposure and strengthen Mindray's image within the South African IVD landscape.

5. Deliver accurate and timely sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market intelligence to the National Sales Manager and HQ teams.


 


Min


 


1. Bachelor's degree or above; a qualification in medicine, biomedical engineering, life sciences, or a related discipline is advantageous.

2. Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written; additional South African languages are a plus.


3. Minimum 4 years of sales experience within a reputable medical device company; prior In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) experience is strongly preferred.

4. Demonstrated experience in direct sales with an established network of local KOLs and Key Accounts within the South African healthcare market.

5. Self-motivated with strong commercial instincts and the ability to work independently in a field-based capacity while maintaining high output and accountability.


 


 


Preferred Candidate


Prior IVD product sales experience across one or more disciplines (e.g. haematology, immunoassay, clinical chemistry, or microbiology).

• Existing relationships with laboratory directors, pathologists, or senior procurement officials within South African public or private healthcare.

• Familiarity with tender and procurement processes within the South African health system.
