Job Title: Integration Engineer – OTN Deployment & Activation

About the Role

We are looking for an Integration Engineer with strong expertise in OTN deployment and activation to join our Network Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating new optical transport network elements into live networks, activating services, and ensuring that deployments meet the highest operational standards.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for engineers who enjoy working directly with optical equipment and collaborating across design, operations, and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate new OTN network elements into live networks


• Perform initial configuration of optical equipment, including transponders, muxponders, and ROADMs


• Activate optical links and OTN services, including OTU/ODU and wavelength services


• Conduct optical measurements and validation, including power levels, OSNR, and FEC monitoring


• Execute FAT/SAT testing and support go-live activities


• Coordinate technical activities with design, operations, and vendors


• Prepare and maintain technical documentation following integration and activation

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with OTN network element integration and activation


• Knowledge of optical equipment configuration and service activation (transponders, muxponders, ROADMs)


• Familiarity with optical measurements: power, OSNR, FEC, and general optical link validation


• Experience in FAT/SAT execution and supporting network go-lives


• Strong ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, including vendors and internal stakeholders


• Clear technical documentation skills and attention to detail

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to large-scale carrier-grade networks


• Multi-vendor OTN environments


• Knowledge of OTN service types and network monitoring tools


• Experience with network automation or scripting
