My client is a globally established, large-scale data centre operator with a portfolio spanning Europe and Asia-Pacific, with major expansion programmes underway, including new builds and campus redevelopments, this is a business investing seriously in its next chapter. They're hiring a site-level Health & Safety Managers in Paris. With a Group H&S function already in place, this newly created role is about driving safety culture and compliance locally, on the ground, where it matters most.
This isn't about parachuting in with a clipboard. They want someone who builds relationships first earning trust across site teams, operations, and contractors then implements robust H&S frameworks from that foundation. You'll be the Responsible Person for all health and safety matters at country level, ensuring alignment with local legislation, ISO standards (including 45001), and group-wide policies.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning site-level H&S compliance and governance across your country
- Conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and driving corrective actions
- Implementing and maintaining ISO-aligned safety management systems
- Designing and delivering H&S training programmes for employees and contractors
- Managing audit readiness, safety performance reporting, and continuous improvement plans
- Collaborating cross-functionally with operations, HR, facilities, and senior leadership
- Supporting ESG and wellbeing initiatives at local level
What they're looking for:
- Proven H&S management experience within data centre or critical infrastructure environments
- NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of European H&S legislation and ISO 45001 implementation
- A relationship-first approach, someone who influences through credibility, not authority
- Comfortable operating in a matrixed structure with both local and group-level reporting lines
- Must have fluent French
