First Point Group is recruiting for a Group Solutions Manager (Data Centre) on behalf of a global engineering and telecommunications infrastructure organisation. This is an outstanding group-level leadership opportunity for a Data Centre Specialist to establish, lead, and expand the organisation's Data Centre Business Unit across multiple international markets. The company has a strong global presence and an established reputation for delivering large-scale telecommunications and infrastructure projects, with significant investment planned in the rapidly growing data centre sector.



 



This role is based in Lebanon so the candidate must be fluent in Arabic, French and English. The successful candidate will live currently live in Lebanon or open to relocating to Lebanon.



 



The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the business unit's strategy, technical capability, project delivery framework, and long-term growth plans. Working closely with executive leadership, they will play a pivotal role in building a market-leading data centre practice and driving the successful delivery of complex mission-critical infrastructure projects worldwide.



 



To be successful in this role, candidates should possess extensive experience delivering Data Centre EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects, strong technical expertise across critical facility systems (particularly mechanical cooling infrastructure) and a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering, construction, and project delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities



 



Business Line Leadership




  • Establish and grow the Data Centre Business Line, including strategy, governance, service offerings, and delivery frameworks.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers, project managers, and technical specialists.

  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, operational efficiency, and business performance.

  • Build strategic relationships with OEMs, technology providers, commissioning specialists, and key suppliers.

  • Collaborate with commercial, engineering, procurement, and executive leadership teams to support business objectives and growth.



 



Bid Management & Technical Solutions




  • Lead technical input for bids, proposals, RFPs, and RFQs, including solution development, risk assessment, BOQs, estimates, and conceptual designs.

  • Define project scope, execution strategies, and technical methodologies to support competitive and profitable submissions.

  • Support client technical discussions and solution development throughout the sales cycle.



 



Data Centre Engineering & Design




  • Lead the review and validation of multidisciplinary data centre designs covering electrical, mechanical, ICT, security, and fire protection systems.

  • Ensure compliance with Tier III/IV, TIA-942, Uptime Institute, and client standards.

  • Review redundancy strategies (N+1, 2N), engineering deliverables, technical documentation, and BOQs.

  • Conduct site feasibility studies and identify technical, operational, and constructability risks.



 



Project Delivery & Commissioning




  • Provide technical leadership throughout EPC project delivery, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary contractors, vendors, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project execution.

  • Support FAT, SAT, and IST programmes, operational readiness planning, and project close-out activities.

  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and technical standards while resolving technical issues during delivery.



Governance & Compliance




  • Ensure compliance with company IMS, quality, health & safety, environmental, business continuity, and information security requirements.

  • Promote best practices in risk management, governance, and operational excellence.



 



Requirements



 



Experience




  • 8–15 years' experience delivering data centre engineering, construction, or EPC projects.

  • Minimum 5 years in project management, project leadership, or technical delivery roles.

  • Strong experience across mission-critical facilities, commissioning, and infrastructure delivery.

  • Expertise in data centre electrical systems, cooling infrastructure, ICT, fire protection, redundancy architecture, and integrated systems testing.

  • Experience managing contractors, vendors, commissioning specialists, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Education & Certifications




  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • PMP, CDCP, CxA, CCP, Uptime Institute, or similar data centre certifications are advantageous.
