Full Stack Developer

First Point Group is recruiting on for a Full Stack Developer (Python | JavaScript | SQL) with 2+ years of experience on behalf of an expanding, mission-driven technology company focused on creating products (incorporating Internet of Things) that reduces carbon emissions through Hardware and Software as a Service. If you are passionate about utilising your experience in Python 3, JavaScript and SQL to contribute to creating a low-carbon future, then this could be the opportunity for you! If you have experience working within a cloud-based production environment, then that is a massive bonus.

This exciting opportunity offers remote working (only 1-4 days per month is required in the London office for team meetings with your welcoming, friendly and collaborative colleagues). It will also give you further exposure to next-gen technology such as IoT (Internet of Things).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and operate cloud-based applications that interact with a large fleet of remotely managed IoT devices.


• Work across the full product lifecycle — from architecture and specification through to deployment and production support.


• Collaborate within Product & Engineering team to deliver high-quality, resilient, and scalable software.


• Take responsibility for major application and infrastructure components.


• Contribute to solution architecture, code reviews, and continuous improvement of systems and processes.

This is a hands-on role where you'll directly impact how end-users experience and benefit from the platform. Your work will help reduce carbon emissions while ensuring the service maintains high uptime and performance.

Experience:

• 2+ years of software development experience


• Must have experience with Python 3, SQL databases & language, JavaScript and Linux


• Bonus - FLASK python frameworks / Django (other commin Python frameworks can be considered)


• Other nice-to-have experience - React.js, Vue.js, NoSQL, Grafana, AWS, Gitlab
