Role Overview
We are seeking a Principal Engineer – Radio Frequency (RF) to lead the design, development, testing, and optimization of RF hardware and communication systems. This role requires deep expertise in RF circuit design, RF front-end architectures, wireless communication technologies, and system-level integration across complex communication platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop RF circuits, subsystems, and communication platforms.
- Define RF hardware requirements based on overall system specifications.
- Design RF boards including schematic capture, PCB layout, simulation, and validation.
- Perform RF simulations using industry-standard tools.
- Conduct RF testing and measurements including gain, power, noise figure, and S-parameters.
- Design and optimize RF front-end architectures, including upconverters, downconverters, filters, and amplifiers.
- Support integration of RF components into complete communication systems.
- Analyze and resolve RF interference, signal integrity, and performance issues.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, software, systems, and mechanical engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or related discipline.
- Strong experience in RF design, development, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in RF simulation tools such as ADS, AWR, CST, HFSS, or similar.
- Experience with RF measurement equipment including spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and signal generators.
- Strong understanding of transmission lines, antennas, impedance matching, and RF front-end design.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, or equivalent.
- Experience designing RF amplifiers, converters, filters, and communication subsystems.
- Knowledge of LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, tactical communications, or satellite communications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
