Key Responsibilities



Sales & Business Development




  • Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities across the territory

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise clients including telecoms, financial institutions, ISPs, and public sector organisations

  • Drive sales pipeline growth and consistently achieve revenue targets

  • Lead end-to-end solution selling, articulating value propositions to clients

  • Accurately forecast sales performance and maintain CRM pipeline visibility



Strategic Execution




  • Develop and implement market segment strategies to support growth

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities

  • Support marketing initiatives including events, roadshows, and product launches

  • Adapt strategies in response to evolving market and customer needs



Client Engagement & Collaboration




  • Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and engagements across the region

  • Collaborate with internal technical, engineering, and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term relationship management



Qualifications and Experience:




  • Minimum 8+ years' experience in sales or business development within data centres, IT infrastructure, or telecommunications

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and closing skills

  • Ability to communicate complex technical solutions clearly to clients

  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously

  • Self-driven, entrepreneurial, and adaptable across diverse markets

  • Data centre infrastructure, design, and operations

  • Colocation and hosting solutions (cabinet, cage, suite models)

  • Cloud computing, managed services, and IT infrastructure

  • Networking, carriers, and connectivity solutions

  • CRM systems (e.g., Zoho) and sales analytics tools

  • Market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (preferred)

  • Industry certifications (e.g., DCIM, CDCP, SPIN Selling) advantageous

  • Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco) beneficial

  • Experience working with enterprise clients across telecoms, banking, or public sector

  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, BICSI)

  • Valid passport and willingness to travel across Africa
