Role: Enterprise Architect – Supply Chain

Contract length: 6 months (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect – Supply Chain to act as a trusted advisor and architectural authority, ensuring that Supply Chain capabilities operate as one connected, efficient ecosystem rather than isolated functional areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Enterprise Architecture vision and strategy for Supply Chain.


• Define target architectures and transition roadmaps for transformation initiatives.


• Ensure architectural alignment across programmes, products, platforms, and technology landscapes.


• Define and enforce Enterprise Architecture principles, standards, and governance.


• Provide architectural oversight for solution designs and major technology decisions.


• Drive Supply Chain transformation by connecting operational processes with business and commercial outcomes.


• Advise senior stakeholders on architectural risks, opportunities, and trade-offs.


• Simplify application and data landscapes to improve agility, resilience, service levels, and cost efficiency.


• Provide architectural assurance and due diligence for major initiatives.


• Work closely with Agile and SAFe delivery teams to ensure architecture is practical and actionable.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric and relevant tertiary qualification.


• Extensive Enterprise Architecture experience, ideally within large-scale and complex FMCG/CPG environments.


• Proven ability to operate at enterprise and executive level.


• Strong ability to translate complex technology and integration concepts into business value.


• Deep Supply Chain domain knowledge and understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes.

• Experience designing and governing architectures across multi-vendor environments.


• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM, SAP TMS, Blue Yonder, and IoT platforms is highly desirable.


• Strong understanding of modern data architecture, integration patterns, and API-led connectivity.


• Working knowledge of practical AI applications.


• Strong UX awareness and understanding.


• Familiarity with TOGAF, applied pragmatically to architecture principles, target states, roadmaps, and governance.
