Are you an Electronics Engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of hardware, software, and real-world infrastructure? This is an opportunity to join a growing, innovation-driven technology business delivering advanced transport and mobility solutions across Africa.
You’ll play a critical role in deploying cutting-edge systems that improve public transport efficiency, safety, and passenger experience—working directly on live environments including vehicles, stations, and route infrastructure.
Why this role is worth your attention
- Work on complex, real-world engineering projects—not just theory or lab work
- Be part of a business driving smart mobility and digital transport transformation
- Gain exposure to large-scale deployments across Africa
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and clients
- Take ownership of end-to-end integration and delivery
What you’ll be doing
This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll take ownership of integrating electronic systems into operational transport environments.
Key focus areas include:
- Designing and implementing on-board electronic systems within vehicles
- Integrating third-party devices such as cameras, sensors, communication units, and telematics equipment
- Ensuring seamless communication between on-board systems and central platforms
- Supporting installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting in live environments
- Working closely with clients, operators, and field teams to ensure successful delivery
- Conducting system validation, diagnostics, and performance testing
- Contributing to field infrastructure deployments (stations, route equipment, etc.)
- Producing technical documentation, specifications, and installation standards
What we’re looking for
You’re someone who enjoys solving practical engineering challenges and isn’t afraid to get hands-on in the field.
Core requirements:
- Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or similar)
- Around 4+ years’ experience in electronic systems delivery, installation, or commissioning
- Experience working with vehicle electronics, embedded systems, or industrial/field devices
- Strong understanding of:
- Power systems, wiring, and signal integrity
- Device integration and communication interfaces
- Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing
What will make you stand out
- Experience in transport, automotive, telematics, CCTV, or industrial electronics
- Exposure to firmware configuration, embedded systems, or device-level diagnostics
- Ability to work across both hardware and software environments
- Confidence engaging with clients and stakeholders in technical discussions
