Sales Director – Western Region
Location: Reno, Nevada (Hybrid Work Model)
Role Overview
This opportunity is for a Commercial Sales Director responsible for driving revenue growth, developing sales talent, and leading execution of Public Safety DAS. LMR, and Wireless Infrastructure sales across a defined geographic territory. Based in Reno with a hybrid working structure, this role will oversee and mentor a team of approximately 7 sales professionals, while remaining closely involved in priority customer engagements and strategic initiatives. The position combines people leadership, hands-on commercial execution, and cross-functional coordination.
Key Accountabilities
- Direct and execute regional sales initiatives through active leadership, coaching, and performance management of assigned sales representatives
- Guide and support a team serving a varied business customer base across multiple verticals
- Participate directly in select complex or high-value opportunities to influence outcomes and close business
- Establish and expand productive relationships with strategic customers as well as supplier and manufacturing partners
- Partner with internal groups including operations, supply chain, and support teams to ensure effective end-to-end sales execution
- Manage a blend of solution-based selling efforts alongside recurring transactional revenue activity
- Proactively identify barriers limiting sales effectiveness and implement corrective actions
- Produce accurate revenue forecasts on a monthly and quarterly cadence
- Define and manage individual and team targets, quotas, and success metrics
- Build and maintain pipeline visibility, health, and momentum
- Analyze sales performance trends and deliver tailored coaching and development guidance
- Track performance indicators to ensure focus on activities that drive profitable growth
Experience & Background
- Minimum of five years in B2B sales, including leadership responsibility
- Demonstrated success managing and developing multi-person sales teams
- Strong coaching capability with a track record of improving sales performance
- Ability to motivate teams and foster a results-driven sales culture
- Experience collaborating across multiple internal functions in hybrid or distributed environments
- Proven ability to communicate solution value to customers and partner stakeholders
- Background in consultative, relationship-oriented business sales models
- Practical understanding of supply chain or distribution-based selling environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate insights into action
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, science, mathematics, or equivalent experience preferred
- Exposure to solution or consultative selling methodologies strongly preferred
- Familiarity with wireless, connectivity, or infrastructure technologies is advantageous
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms
Compensation
Base salary expected range: $150K (+/- $10K depending on experience)
