Development Project Manager – Renewable Energy
Overview: A leading international renewable energy company is seeking two skilled and motivated
Development Project Managers to support the expansion of its renewable energy portfolio. One role is suited for a senior candidate with extensive project management experience, while the other is ideal for a professional with a solid foundation and clear growth potential.
You will play a critical role in managing renewable energy projects from initial concept through to Ready-to-Build (RTB) stage, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all activities.
- Identify and assess new opportunities for onshore wind, solar PV, and energy storage projects.
- Develop and maintain project budgets and timelines while optimizing project strategies.
- Establish project execution schedules and manage delivery to high-quality standards.
- Lead cross-functional teams including internal resources and external consultants.
- Secure permits, land agreements, and grid connections, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively manage project risks and issues to ensure project constructability and competitiveness.
- Engage and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as municipalities, authorities, and landowners.
- Conduct due diligence assessments for project acquisitions and stay abreast of market and legislative developments.
Candidate Profile:
Experience & Expertise:
- Proven project management experience within the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, energy storage).
- For the senior role: Minimum 5 years managing large-scale renewable projects.
- For the development role: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with clear potential for career growth.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of delivering projects within budget and timeline constraints.
- Experience in securing permits, land acquisition, and grid connection agreements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Education & Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
- Sound understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction processes.
- Good knowledge of regulations, permitting procedures, and environmental requirements within the renewable sector.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with a high level of attention to detail.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Flexibility and openness to change.
