Job Title: Data Support Officer – Senior
Location: Belgium
As a Data Support Officer in the Managed Asset Solutions team, you are responsible for the creation, updating, and governance of asset master data in the IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. Collaborating closely with technical experts and end-users on board a fleet of operational vessels, you play a pivotal role in maintaining data integrity and supporting day-to-day operations and strategic decision-making through high-quality data.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as first-line support for users regarding asset and maintenance data creation and optimization in IBM Maximo.
- Maintain and structure asset data architecture to ensure long-term usability and scalability.
- Monitor, analyse, and improve data quality standards within Maximo.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and visualize asset performance data using tools such as Power BI.
- Lead and contribute to data quality improvement initiatives across the asset lifecycle.
- Promote and train users on data best practices, standards, and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of data reporting tools and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate documentation of data governance procedures and support audit readiness.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a technical or industrial setting.
- Proven experience working with IBM Maximo or another enterprise asset management system.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial components such as combustion engines, pumps, and cranes.
- Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings and specifications.
- Solid experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. MS Excel, Power BI, SQL).
- Familiarity with maintenance, stock management, purchasing, and logistics is an asset.
