Regional Data Centre Sales Engineering Director



Summary:



Our client is looking for a regional data centre sales engineering director.  They are a major global data centre developer operator with assets around the world and growing fast.



The Regional Sales Engineering Director is responsible for providing data center technical solutions, in support of the regional and country sales teams, to global service providers, enterprises and multinational corporations. This individual will also be the interface between the sales team, Product Management and the CTO / Ops team in providing customer solutions.



 



Responsibilities:




  • Identify and understand customer’s technical needs, challenges and requirements



 




  • Utilize defined technical processes and procedures to develop solutions



 




  • Provide support for customer meetings / tours and sales presentations



 




  • Coordinate and support RFI/P/Q preparation as requested by Sales team



 




  • Develop a good understanding of Capitaland data centers & services



 




  • Interface with customer technical teams on hyperscale project scoping, responding to detailed site / project qualification questionnaires, and developing technical solutions to ensure compliance with industry and customers’ engineering standards



 




  • Work with CTO/Ops/Design & Construction teams on Basis-of-Design for bespoke customer projects, and provide feedback on industry “best practices” based on customer engagements



 




  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product Mgt, Customer Care, IM/Ops, etc.) to ensure smooth project transition from pre-sales to post-sales



 



 



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in (Mechanical / Electrical) engineering

  • At least 5 years of experience in a technical solutioning role, with experience in the data center industry

  • Strong MEP technical understanding, including design architecture, hyperscale solutions.

  • Innovative thinking on cutting edge technical solutions.

  • Strong customer communication skills.



 




  • Solid understanding of data center specifications to enable effective customer engagement

  • Prior experience working in a regional role.



 




  • Prior experience working on hyperscale customer projects

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational, project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Possess industry knowledge and familiarity of the competitive landscape
