First Point Group is recruiting for a Business Development Manager (full sales cycle within energy services) on behalf of a fast-growing UK-based Energy Consultancy that specialises in end-to-end energy consultancy services helping companies to reduce energy costs and usage.



 



Mandatory requirements:




  • Strong understanding of energy services (brokering, TPI, account management)

  • Full sales cycle (prospecting to deal closure)

  • History of winning new business with small-to-medium-sized companies

The Role



 



We are seeking a results-driven and commercially astute Business Development Manager to lead new client acquisition and support sustainable growth across the UK. This role offers full ownership of the sales cycle, from identifying and engaging prospects through to closing deals and onboarding new clients.



 



You will take a consultative approach to selling tailored energy consultancy solutions, building long-term relationships with senior stakeholders while delivering measurable value for both clients and the business.



 



Key Responsibilities




  • Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through outbound activity, networking, industry events, and referrals

  • Build, manage, and maintain a strong sales pipeline aligned with company growth objectives

  • Develop and nurture relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders

  • Deliver compelling, client-focused proposals and presentations aligned to customer challenges and objectives

  • Negotiate and close commercial agreements that support long-term client success

  • Work closely with marketing to align sales messaging and support lead generation initiatives

  • Accurately track sales activity and pipeline performance within the CRM system

  • Monitor market trends and customer feedback to inform service development and sales strategy

  • Represent the business at industry events to enhance brand visibility and credibility

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and service delivery



 



What We’re Looking For




  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a full-cycle B2B sales or business development role, ideally within the energy sector

  • Proven experience selling energy services such as procurement, bill validation, compliance, or energy efficiency solutions

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working autonomously

  • Experience producing high-impact proposals and structured sales plans

  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Commercially aware, analytical, and solutions-focused mindset

  • Full UK driving licence
