Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead and expand our business with government and public sector organizations across the region. This role is ideal for a sales professional with proven government connections, strong relationship-building skills, and hands-on experience navigating public-sector procurement environments.
The BDM will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing government-related business opportunities, while serving as a trusted partner to key stakeholders, decision-makers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage business opportunities with government and public sector customers
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key government stakeholders and decision-makers
- Identify, pursue, and manage government projects, tenders, RFPs, and public procurement opportunities
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (sales, technical, legal, finance) and external partners to support government sales initiatives
- Manage the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification and proposal development to contract award and project closure
- Monitor and analyze government initiatives, policies, regulations, and market developments relevant to the business
- Represent the company at government meetings, industry events, and public-sector forums
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in business development or sales focused on government or public sector customers
- Strong understanding of how to engage with government organizations and navigate public-sector environments
- Demonstrated experience with tenders, RFPs, and public procurement processes (strong plus)
- Industry background is open (e.g., technology, telecom, IT, security, infrastructure, or related sectors)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
Mandatory Requirement
- Established government connections:
