Are you a Business Development Manager with experience selling Connectivity / DIA (Dedicated Internet) to Enterprise Customers (directly or indirectly)? As part of a wider recruitment drive, First Point Group is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing telecoms and Internet Service Provider that has ambitious plans in expanding its Wholesale & Enterprise unit.
The focus: Winning new business with Enterprise Companies in Manchester / North West region (through direct sales or indirect sales) so the successful candidate will live in this area.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a business at an important stage of its growth, you will take a hands-on role in developing an enterprise customer base through ownership of the full sales cycle and generating new revenue across the region. You will identify, develop and convert opportunities with organisations requiring high-quality fibre and connectivity services, including ISPs, MSPs, connectivity providers and enterprise customers.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the UK connectivity ecosystem, an established network of relevant contacts and the commercial drive to build a territory and pipeline from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across the Manchester and wider North West enterprise connectivity market.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of direct enterprise opportunities.
- Identify and engage prospective enterprise customers, ISPs, MSPs, connectivity providers and other relevant organisations.
- Leverage existing industry relationships while continuously developing new customer contacts.
- Lead opportunities from initial prospecting and qualification through commercial discussions, negotiation and close.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer connectivity requirements and position appropriate network solutions.
- Build long-term relationships with key commercial and technical decision-makers.
- Work closely with internal commercial, network, product and delivery teams to convert opportunities into revenue.
- Provide market intelligence on competitors, customer requirements and emerging commercial opportunities.
- Represent the business at relevant industry events and networking opportunities.
- Contribute ideas for improving sales effectiveness, including the adoption of AI, automation and new prospecting tools.
- Take a proactive, hands-on approach to establishing the company's presence within a new regional market.
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of the UK telecommunications, fibre and enterprise connectivity market.
- Knowledge of the alt-net, wholesale and connectivity ecosystem.
- An established network of relevant enterprise, ISP, MSP or connectivity-sector contacts.
- Demonstrable experience developing and winning new business within telecommunications or connectivity.
- Strong prospecting, relationship-building and commercial negotiation skills.
- Comfortable operating in a growth-stage environment where you will be expected to create opportunities rather than inherit an established pipeline.
- Commercially driven with a strong focus on converting opportunities into revenue.
- High levels of energy, tenacity and personal ownership.
- Able to work independently and take responsibility for developing a regional market.
- Curious about new approaches to business development, including AI-enabled sales and prospecting tools.
Candidate Profile
We are less concerned with a specific number of years' experience and more interested in market knowledge, relationships and evidence that you can open doors and win business.
You could come from an enterprise sales, business development, carrier, wholesale, ISP, MSP or connectivity background. What matters most is that you understand the market, know how to identify the right customers and are prepared to take a hands-on approach to building a new territory.
