Job Title: Array Cable Quality Inspector

Location: Eemshaven, Netherlands (with ad hoc travel to other sites)

Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Contract Duration: Mid-August 2025 to Mid-March 2026


Work Package Summary:

We are seeking a Cable Quality Inspector to provide quality oversight during the manufacturing of array cables for an offshore wind project. The role is based primarily in Eemshaven, Netherlands, with occasional travel to secondary production or test sites as required. The inspector will ensure full compliance with project specifications, relevant industry standards, and regulatory requirements.




Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct end-to-end inspections throughout cable production (raw materials through final assembly)
  • Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), First Article Inspections (FAIs), and electrical/mechanical performance testing
  • Identify non-conformities, ensure timely resolution, and maintain full traceability of quality issues
  • Review and comment on Quality Plans and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, logs, and reporting documentation
  • Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and quality issues
  • Use digital systems for quality documentation, traceability, and reporting
  • Support HSE compliance through proactive risk assessments and safety observations



Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all on-site Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements
  • Conduct Point-of-Work Risk Assessments prior to task execution
  • Actively participate in site safety walks and enforce safe working practices



Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or technical qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in cable manufacturing and quality control within offshore wind or energy projects
  • Solid knowledge of applicable standards: IEC, IEEE, ISO
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and documentation platforms
  • Fluent in English (Dutch language skills an advantage)
  • Valid GWO Basic Safety Training certification
  • Valid EU/UK driver’s license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital inspection tools
