    FPG Cyber are recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client, a multinational Cyber Security Consultancy, for a Senior Data Loss Prevention Engineer based in Austin, TX, USA.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and operating our clients Data Loss Prevention System (Endpoint, Network and email DLP Systems) and Web Application Firewalls. This is a very technical and hands-on position so the right person will be expected to have a broad depth of DLP knowledge with a solid Cyber Security engineering background. Familiarity with application security and network security concepts will be preferable. Knowledge of implementing and operating security technologies, especially Data Loss Prevention and Web Application Firewall will be essential.

    The role

    • Skilled and experienced using DLP Tools (including network, endpoint and email DLP)
    • The role will be within our clients Cyber Security Group, Legal, Privacy, and other business units as appropriate to design and implement Data Loss Prevention controls
    • Maintain DLP Policies/Rules and associated events which support compliance to the client’s corporate policies. Maintain/troubleshoot issues with the DLP security infrastructure
    • Deploy & manage their Web Application Firewall, including the identification and modification of rules for deployment to provide protection against application layer attacks
    • Work with other business teams to ensure applications are protected by maintaining the full functionality behind a Web Application Firewall; Including the analysis of existing rules or creation of new ones when needed to address newly released application layer attacks
    • Strong technical knowledge of AppSec and Application Layer attacks
    • Responsible for end-to-end problem and service management, and clear communication of ongoing problem status to colleagues and management
    • Make recommendations to strengthen the security posture of our computing environment as well as recommending process and technology improvements to ensure timely response to future Data Leakage security incidents and web application attacks
    • Knowledge of the current IT Data Protection landscape and upcoming trends in Cyber Security



    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is preferred
    • Knowledge of documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, and processes
    • Highly self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-moving and high-pressure environment
