FPG is searching for a Project Director on behalf of their client. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a £50 million-pound project with the end goal of advancing future wireless technology. You will be responsible for adopting a collaborative approach to work with industry leaders (Mobile Operators, System Integrators, and Vendors) to drive the project to completion.
Job Description:
• Promote the project's plan, including the strategic objectives and project sponsor, and work to ensure that the advantages associated with it are realised.
• Lead the delivery team to successfully complete the project's objectives, enabling more interoperability in digital network infrastructure, promoting higher adoption, and generating advantages for the UK's market and economy.
• Totally accountable for delivering in accordance with the project's agreed-upon P&L, schedule, and budget goals.
• Utilize the project governance structure to the fullest extent possible in order to involve all relevant parties in defining and completing the project's purpose.
• Promote the successes and advantages of the project by advocating for it in internal and external forums.
Key Experience:
• Possess a deep understanding of and expertise in the telecom and networking infrastructure industries with an advantage in having established collaborative R&D skills.
• Experience managing the execution of large-scale programmes (£10 million+) involving numerous internal/external stakeholders.
• Working with government funding experience is advantageous, as is leveraging private sector investment.
• Possesses certain leadership qualities and the capacity to persuade stakeholders, subordinates, and colleagues through flexible and responsive communication.
