Position Overview:

As a Construction Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing construction projects within our client's diverse portfolio, ensuring successful execution from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess project management expertise, a solid understanding of critical building systems, and a commitment to excellence.


Responsibilities:

•Collaborate with construction and site teams to manage projects from initiation to conclusion.

•Support the budgeting process and cost estimating, ensuring financial objectives are met.

•Resolve issues with subcontractors, engineers, architects, and other project contributors.

•Conduct and document project meetings, ensuring effective communication among stakeholders.

•Review and approve applications for payment, including closeout documentation.

•Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

•Evaluate, communicate, and address project risks proactively.

•Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects, and project team members.

•Monitor and enforce project deadlines, providing progress reports regularly.

•Handle environmental or community issues that may arise during projects.

•Conduct site checks to ensure progress and quality standards.

•Maintain ethical and professional relations with contractors and tenants.

•Stay updated on the latest construction technology for process efficiencies.

•Participate in ad hoc projects or assignments as requested.


Requirements and Desired Skills:

•Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, business development, or similar (strongly preferred).

•5+ years of proven working experience in construction management.

•Knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.

•Familiarity with the data center or telecommunications industry (strongly preferred).

•Understanding of building products, construction details, rules, regulations, and quality standards.

•Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

•Familiarity with construction management software packages.

•Competence in conflict and crisis management.

•Excellent time and project management skills.

•Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and relevant software applications (MRI, Avid, Procore, BIM, Primavera, or MS Project is a plus).

•Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex analyses and solutions confidently.

•Detail-oriented problem solver with a win-win attitude, dedicated to meaningful solutions.

•Experience working independently and collaboratively, managing priorities effectively and meeting hard deadlines.

•Ability to work cross-functionally with ease.
