‘Edgar is a great communicator, and the best headhunter I’ve ever worked with’
Lizbeth Bravo has been a recruitment specialist with Huawei Mexico for two years, and has worked with First Point Group a year. She describes Edgar as the best headhunter she’s ever worked with, not only during her time at Huawei, but also in her previous recruiting roles.
Lizbeth is a people person, and loves all the human interactions her job as a recruiter involves. She’s constantly expanding her knowledge of the company’s job roles and responsibilities, learning more about the profile of the activities required of contractors, and gaining a better understanding of human nature and what makes a great candidate.
From her description of some of the other agencies she’s dealt with, it’s clear that not everyone takes the time to either really listen to the brief they’re being given in the first place, or provide her with the feedback she would like during the process. When that’s the case, she admits that she feels little motivation to get back to them: not only because the candidates they send don’t always hit the mark but also because they’re not helping her develop expertise in her recruitment role.
Edgar, on the other hand, is constantly on the phone, asking salient questions and delivering positive feedback. It’s thanks to that, she thinks, that First Point have such a great success record. The close working relationship and great rapport between Edgar and Lizbeth has developed into a real friendship, and the pair are often to be seen out and about together in Mexico City.
