FPG are recruiting a RAN Testing Engineer to join our customer project. We are looking for an experienced client facing engineer with proficiency in 5G/4G/LTE RAN standards and protocols.
This is a 6 month extendable contract starting in April 2024. The role is a hybrid position, 3 days per week in Bristol, 2 days remote.
Are you an experienced test engineer with a passion for cutting-edge wireless technologies? We're seeking a skilled individual to join our team with the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in network engineering, specializing in 5G/4G RAN or related wireless communication technologies.
- Expertise in RAN domains including 2G/3G/4G/5G call flows and protocols.
- Solid understanding of 5G/4G technologies, RAN standards, and protocols.
- Familiarity with RAN design tools and software.
- Hands-on experience with Xcal and Xcal logs.
- Exceptional troubleshooting abilities, particularly with RAN components.
- Proficiency in security protocols, VPNs, and firewall configuration for networks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
